Percolating Projects and Dreaming of Love

It’s been a busy week and it’s only Tuesday.  Ever have weeks like that?  I spent hours last night catching up on e-mail and the results were great.  Tomorrow, I have a meeting with a potential client to discuss renovating her children’s bathroom and a meeting with a local builder, who I so respect.  I’m hoping we can do some work together.  When it comes together, you will be the first to know!

I’m wrapping up two offices that I have been working on for quite some time.  Can’t wait to show you the finished projects!  They are absolute opposites.  One is dark blue with a contemporary white sofa and the other is pale yellow and more traditional in the Burr in Fairfield.  One of the things I love about my job is the diversity in what I do.  Yesterday an office. Tomorrow a kid’s bathroom!

My neighbor left a letter in my box today letting me know that I was in the Norwalk Citizen – woohoo!  Can’t wait to see a copy.  And I received an e-mail asking me to help put together a special blog and I am having so much fun creating the “room” that will be the inspiration for it.  More on that soon.  Any thoughts on what your dream room would be?

Now how do I make this all happen – work, marketing, social media, mom, going to the gym, you name it?  Well, amongst the many things he does for me, the great love of my life brought home dinner…  And that makes me think of Valentine’s Day, which is right around the corner.  So straight from the ever delicious Dean and Deluca, some ideas for my sweetie this Valentine’s.  Shhhh…don’t tell him.

DH is half Italian and loves antipasti of any kind. I think this selection would be a big hit before dinner.

We love to have tea together in the evenings and Marco Polo by Mariage Freres is far and away my favorite! Think it’s time to introduce DH to the finer points of loose leaf tea.

Really, what says love better than chocolate brownies?  Yummmm…

These marzipan couples gave me such a chuckle.  They remind me of the early morning coffee cup debate we have going on in our house.  We have big Nicholas Mosse Farm Mugs, because DH only likes big mugs for his coffee.  At any rate, we have a variety of farm animals and no one ever wants to “be” the pig, the rooster or the cow.  Ok, I don’t need to draw a diagram…  But I will give you a hint, I am definitely the panda here.  LOL!

I know what you are thinking – a bowl of sugar roses for your husband? Are you out of your mind? Well, we have a daughter too and at the magical princess age, nothing could be better than sugar roses… especially if they are from Dada.
